Company background


1988

On 5 April 1988, the Company was originally founded as a company limited under the name of Compex (Thailand) Company Limited as a subsidiary of T.K.S. Inter Printing Company Limited (which was later, in 2002, registered as a public company limited by the name of T.K.S. Technology Public Company Limited) with the registered capital of 1,000,000 Baht. Thus, T.K.S. Inter Printing Company Limited held 99.99% of the entire issued and paid-up capital.


1999

Synnex Technology International Corporation from Taiwan, one of the three largest distributor of computer and IT products with worldwide networks covering namely the United States, Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and India, realizing the growth potential of computer and IT industries in Thailand, entered into partnership with Compex (Thailand) Company Limited at the shareholding ratio of 49.00%.


2002

The Company changed its name to “Synnex (Thailand) Company Limited” and relocated the Company’s headquarters on over 7 Rai of land on Sukontasawat Road, which is in proximity with Ekamai-Ramintra Express Way, where the Company’s new transport and distribution terminal has been established and managed using the distribution technology transferred from the Taiwan’s Synnex Group. The capacity and related experience of Synnex Group from Taiwan in addition to the Company’s Management in computer and IT product distribution business resulted in rapid growth of the Company to the point of the issued and paid-up capital reaching 500,000,000 Baht in 2004.


2007

On 30 November 2007, the Company registered as a listed company and changed the name to “Synnex (Thailand) Public Company Limited” while increasing the issued and paid-up capital from 500,000,000 Baht to 705,000,000 Baht. In 2007, the Company also established CNEX Shop under the franchise concept, i.e., the Company gives the rights regarding the distribution of the Company’s products, appearance and design of the shop, brand and trademark, poster advertisement, product packaging, business advisory, accounting system, and management information to the franchisee on the condition that the franchisee must order products only from the Company. In 2007, there were 5 branches of CNEX Shop opened in total.


2008

On 16 June 2010, The Company listed its shares on The Stock Exchange of Thailand and its shares were officially traded to the public for the first time.


2009

The Company utilized its capital to fund the construction of a new building at the Headquarters in response to the business growth and expansion which was completed in the second quarter. In addition, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Company’s establishment in 2009, the Company set a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in a form of e-library titled “Library IT by Synnex” that the Company succeeded in achieving the target of providing computer and IT products for the countrywide 20 educational institutes qualified according to the selection criteria.
